DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FIRST HOME OWNER GRANT, QLD BUILDING BOOST AND TRANSFER DUTY CONCESSION

Thu Sep 29 2011

Amid the excitement and stress of buying your home, it can be easy to overlook the fine print. Did you know that there are differences between the occupancy requirements for the first home owner grant (FHOG), the Queensland building boost grant (QBBG) and the transfer duty concessions? It’s important that you do - overlooking this could cost you thousands of dollars.

Don’t get caught out: If you break the occupancy requirements, you may have to pay back the entire grant and some or all of the concession—possibly with penalties. View the differences between grants and concessions on the following link: http://www.osr.qld.gov.au/client-group/first-home-buyer/home-occupancy-flyer.pdf
